Titled What’s Next Alabama?: Place-Based, Deliberative Learning in the Classroom, the workshops will be held in Alabama’s eleven in-service regions this year and will provide educators with the materials and skills they need to conduct place-based, deliberative discussion in their classroom. Thanks to a generous grant from the Alabama Bicentennial Commission, the David Mathews Center for Civic Life has the opportunity to equip teachers to use WNAL in their classrooms to engage students in conversations about Alabama’s unique history and approaching future. These workshops take place at no cost to teachers, include lunch, CEUs, and a $50 substitute reimbursement per teacher. Save your spot in the links below!
