Brit Floyd, The World’s Greatest Pink Floyd Show, is returning to Alabama for one performance only at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville – and Alabama Public Television has a limited number of tickets and meet-and-greet passes available as pledge gifts. 2019 marks the 40th anniversary of the release of Pink Floyd’s THE WALL, and Brit Floyd joins the celebration with a special retrospective of Pink Floyd’s iconic rock opera. Released in November 1979, a semi-autobiographical concept album from the mind of Pink Floyd founding member Roger Waters, THE WALL remains one of the biggest-selling albums of all time. In addition to performing a host of musical highlights from THE WALL, Brit Floyd will be performing classic gems from DARK SIDE OF THE MOON, WISH YOU WERE HERE, ANIMALS, THE DIVISION BELL, and lots more. Alice in Wonderland

As parent of this year's Magic City Theatre Festival, Birmingham Children’s Theatre (BCT) presents Alice in Wonderland, a world-premier adaptation by BCT’s Executive Artistic Director Brandon Bruce and Luke Schares, based of the stories by Lewis Carroll. Alice in Wonderland will play May 30th through June 2nd at Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark. With incredible support from the City of Hoover, Alice in Wonderland will then move to the Riverchase Galleria with performances June 13th - 16th in the Center Court. All performances of Alice in Wonderland will be available for free to the public thanks to generous support from the City of Hoover and the Hoover Arts Council, the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham, the Caring Foundation of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama, and Protective Life Corporation. The Lutheran Women's Missionary League announces its Tee Up 4Mites Charity Golf Outing, Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at the Magnolia Grove "Crossings" Course, 7001 Magnolia Grove Parkway, in Mobile. The event is open to the public - both men and women - with an entry fee of $100. (Proceeds benefit the Lutheran Women's Missionary League mission fund.) Registration & Continental breakfast at 7am, Shotgun Start tee time at 8:00am. Awards to the top two finishing teams; clostest to the pin, longest drive, both men and women. The Alabama-Korea Education and Economic Partnership (A-KEEP) and Pike Road Schools (PRS) present Catch the K-Wave, a summer program for rising 6th - 8th grade students presenting Korean language and culture, July 8 - 26th, Monday - Friday at Pike Road Historic Middle School, 4710 Pike Road in Pike Road, Ala. 360634. Students do not need nor are expected to have any prior knowledge in Korean language or culture, but they should have a willingness to learn and explore! The program aims to give students cultural awareness and appreciation, develop cognitive and critical thinking skills and improve presentational skills.
