ASO Sound Edge Festival

The vision of ASO Music Director, Carlos Izcaray, the new 2017 Sound Edge Festival is a vibrant nine-day concert experience that is dedicated to breaking down music genres and celebrating the crossover connection of music and art. Concerts will be held at nine different venues in Birmingham, including Iron City, Seasick Records, Saturn, WorkPlay, the Alys Stephens Center, the Birmingham Museum of Art, Avondale Brewing Co., 55th Place North and Syndicate Lounge. UAH Charger Con 2017

The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) is hosting ChargerCon 2017 on Saturday, Feb. 18, from noon to midnight in the UAH Conference Training Center. A free gaming and technology expo, ChargerCon features video game and tabletop tournaments, cosplay contest, workshops, demos, a retro arcade, and free play areas for PC, console, tabletop, and handheld games. Several tournaments will be held throughout the day, including Melee, Mario Kart, Smash 4, Magic The Gathering, Overwatch (PC), and Pokemon Sun/Moon. The event will also feature a cosplay contest, a t-shirt printing station, and several workshops: Introduction to Game Maker Storytelling and Comics, Character Design, Cosplay Costume Making, and Introduction to Game Development.
